Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (/D)
Arrival to Hanoi. Our tour guide and driver will welcome you at the airport and transfer to the city center where they will have a first impression of Hanoi. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. (the rooms are available from 14:00).
Free time in the afternoon in Hanoi to rest. Accommodation in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L/)
After breakfast, we start visit Hanoi. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, the only Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The tour includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside only), the house of Ho Chi Minh, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Tran Quoc Pagoda. Stop at Trung Nguyen Coffee Center for a relax before continue to visit the Temple of Literature.
Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we continue to visit Ngoc Son Temple in the middle of Hoan Kiem lake, followed by one hour cyclo tour through the typical Old quarters of Hanoi.
In the afternoon, attend a traditional Water Puppet Show at the at Thang Long Theater. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)
After breakfast, meet your guide in the lobby of hotel. Departure by road to Halong Bay. Travel through the rich farmlands of the Delta of Red river and the landscape of rice fields, water buffalo, the daily life of the Vietnamese village. Arrive in Halong and board to board a traditional junk. Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, stop at Vung Vieng fishing village, take rowing boat to the village, meet and talk and take photos with the villagers. Free time for swimming. Later on the junk move to docking area for overnight. Dinner with Vietnamese food served on board.
Day 4: Halong Bay - Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) (B/L/)
Breakfast served while the junk cruises around Ha Long Bay passes by many rocks, islets… Stop for a while to explore Surprise cave. The junk continues cruising toward Halong port. Ready for disembarking at 11:30am. Drive to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City Tour full day (B/L/)
Today, you will visit Re-unification palace, the former head quarters of anti-communism in the south.
We take a short walk to visit the war museum, full of relics from Vietnam war. Scary but really worth to visit. Then stroll around the central market Ben Thanh and sit back to enjoy a traditional noodle soup lunch in a famous restaurant in the city.
PM: Visit China Town which has a population of over 1 million Chinese people. The highlight of China Town is the Binh Tay market where you can see busy merchants from every corner of this part of the city. Visit Thien Hau Pagoda and a handicraft factory before heading back to your hotel. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh city – Cu Chi Tunnels – Cao Dai Temple – Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/)
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and depart for Cu Chi tunnels. Another name of Cu Chi is “ Steel land”. It’s where the army troops of the VC(Viet Cong) concealed themselves during the Vietnam war. The tunnel systems were created by local people over a period of years.
This huge construction was a habitation for villagers in the war time. With 3 levels of depth, it was never discovered by the US during the war despite its proximity to Saigon. Visit the fighting tunnel system with your local guide.
If you are that way inclined, you can purchase ammunition and fire a weapon of the war on the rifle range.
After the Cu Chi tunnels visit we drive to Tay Ninh province for Cao Dai temple. Join Cao Dai followers to arrange their daily afternoon mass for half an hour and get to know something about Caodaism. Lunch and return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B/L/)
Heading out of the bustling city, we ride along rice field to My Tho, one of Mekong Delta province. Upon arrival in My Tho, we embark on a boat navigating around the small canals in the delta region, which passing My Tho fruit market. Joining in with daily activities of local people and enjoy the atmosphere of water world along the canal and along the Tien river. The exciting cruise continue to Unicorn island, here you can taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy the local traditional music, performed by the islanders. Having lunch at a typical country garden house. Next stops are the coconut candy “mill” and some other local industries in Ben Tre province. Drive back Ho Chi Minh City for overnight.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B/)
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for the departure flight. End of tour.
