Vietnam Explorer Package 15 Days - 14 Nights

This newly developed tour package has replaced what was our “Off the Beaten Track” trip. This is a truly diverse trip, covering ancient, old and new cities, trekking among Ethnic  Minority  tribes  and  thickly  forested  national parks  as  well  as  relaxing  on  golden  beaches  and mountain hideaways.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Arrival in Hanoi, meet at the airport then transfer to hotel (Check-in time : 14h00). The rest of the day is  free at leisure  for relax at the hotel or explore the surrounding shops and restaurants.
Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L/)
Full day sight-seeing tour around ancient Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam for almost 1000 years :  visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Presidential Palace as well as Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. Follow this with Vietnam Ethnology museum .
PM visit the Temple of Literature, site of Vietnam's first university, dating back to the 11th century, walking tour around Hanoi's Old Quarter, visit Dong Xuan market, Restored Sword Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Evening enjoy Enjoy Water Puppet show - an unique traditional art of Vietnam. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Mai Chau : XA LINH – HANG KIA (B/L/D)
Morning depart Hanoi for Mai Chau (Hoa Binh province). Upon arrival at Lac village, which is home to the Thai people, have lunch in a traditional house on stilts with the Thai family. Then drive to Xa Linh village, from here start trekking tour for 3 days/2 nights : walk along gravel tracks and small paths to Hang Kia village, home of the H’mong Minority people.  Dinner and overnight stay at the traditional house of  H'mong family. Home stay at H’mong house.

Day 4: Mai Chau : HANG KIA – CAY NAM – BAN BUOC (B/L/D)
Morning get truly off the beaten track when trek through tropical rain forest. Pass through several White Thai villages. Picnic lunch will be provided at Cay Nam village by afternoon. Continue trekking tour to Ban Buoc village of the Thai. Have dinner and stay overnight as the guests of the Thai family in a traditional house on stilts. Home stay at Thai house on stilts.

Day 5: Mai Chau : BAN BUOC – MAI HICH – BAN LAC – Ninh Binh (B/L)
Morning trek to Mai Hich village . Bus pick-up and transfer back to Lac village . After lunch depart Mai Chau for Ninh Binh, once known as the former capital of Vietnam in X century. On arrival, check-in hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 6: Ninh Binh - Hue (B/L/)
Full day visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the Dinh and Le dynasties (968 – 1009). Visit the two remaining temples of the ancient citadel. The first is dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang, an Emperor from the Dinh Dynasty. The second commemorates the rulers of the Le Dynasty.  Proceed to Tam Coc – the so called “ Halong bay  on land” . Have lunch before enjoy rowing trip along the river in sampans amidst limestone cliffs and rive field.
Late afternoon transfer to Ninh Binh railway station for catching night train to Hue. Overnight on train – A/C compartment 4 pax/cupe x 4 soft sleepers.

Day 7: Hue Explorer (B/L/)
Arrive in Hue in the morning, transfer to hotel for early check-in and breakfast. Afternoon visit Hue – the World Cultural Heritage, the former capital of Vietnam from 1802 – 1945 : take boat trip on the Perfume river to visit Thien Mu pagoda, tombs of King  Tu Duc, Dong Ba central market.
In the evening enjoy Hue folk song on Perfume river cruise (Join-in). Overnight at hotel in Hue.
Day 8: Hue – Bach Ma National Park (B/L/)
Morning depart for Bach Ma National Park. On arrival, check-in hotel. Afternoon explorer this tropical forest with a trek to Hai Vuong Dai, a great advantage point with views all the way to the ocean. Walk down to visit Do Quyen waterfall. Overnight at hotel in Bach Ma.

Day 9: Bach Ma National Park – Danang - Hoi An (B)
Morning, trek to explorer Tri Sao waterfall. Then drive down the coast road passing over the spectacular Sea cloud pass to Danang – the biggest port in central Vietnam. Upon arrival visit Cham Museum and stone carving village at the foothill of Marble mountains. Proceed to Hoian – the very charming ancient town by the Thu Bon river, one of Vietnam’s most prosperous port town in 15th century. Check-in hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An Ancient Town (B/L/)
AM walking tour to visit Hoian : Fujian congregation hall, Japanese covered bridge, ancient house, lantern factory, local market. Enjoy 01 hr cyclo tour around the town and back to your hotel. PM free at leisure for shopping around or relaxing at Cua Dai beach. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

Day 11: Hoi An – Danang - Nha Trang (B)
Morning transfer to Da Nang airport for flight to Camranh airport . Meet at the airport by local tour guide then transfer to Nha Trang bay – one among the most beautifull bay of the World. After short rest, start half day tour to explore the charm of Nhatrang : visit  Po Nagar Cham temple-tower, Long Son pagoda, Chong promontory, Dam market. Check-in hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 12: Nha Trang Beach Relax (B)
Free at leisure for relaxing at Nhatrang bay . Overnight at hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 13: Nhatrang - Ho Chi Minh (B)
AM transfer to airport for flight Camranh/Hochiminh city . Meet  and transfer to the city centre. After short rest, start sight-seeing tour around Hochiminh city – the biggest city of Vietnam : Reunification Hall (the former President Palace), War remnant museum, Thien Hau pagoda, China town, Binh tay market, photo stops at Notre Dame cathedral and Central Post Office. Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 14 : Ho Chi Minh – My Tho (B/L)
AM drive to My Tho for exploring the mythical Mekong river delta – upon arrival visit Vinh Trang pagoda, then  take boat trip to islets full of bonsai & orchard garden, handicraft work shops, local house made of coconut trees, where you are hosted with honey bee tea & seasonal fruits, enjoy folk music.
PM back to Hochiminh city. Check in hotel and relax. Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 15: Ho Chi Minh Departure (B)
Free at leisure till transfer to airport for departure flight. End of tour.
